Journal #1b - Learn to lie

• My rabbit jumped off the building and my mom cooked it's dead body.

It was a rainy day in China. Rainstorms in China can cause huge floods
and so that day, the roof of my house was starting to flood. My mom
forgot to put the rabbit back into it's cage that day after letting it
out to wander around for some exercise on the roof. Apparently, the
rabbit thought that by jumping off the roof, it might not have to drown
and it just jumped off. I didn't know until the sky cleared up and I
walked outside to see if the streets were flooded. When I opened the
door, I found the rabbit laying there, it's body still completely
intact. I showed the rabbit's body to my mom and sadly told her that it
died. She told me to give it to her and she took a look at it. My father
walked into the room and told me to help him with the shopping so I left
the room and headed out with my father to get groceries. When I came
back home, my mom was making soup. I asked her what it was and she said
that it was the rabbit and that she was making soup from it.

• My dad once drove my family to the beach and found a horseshoe crab.

So my entire family went to the beach that day, with towels, swimsuits,
umbrellas and snacks. We were at Coney Island and it was early so there
weren't too many people there yet. After changing into our swimsuits, my
father went straight into the water and went swimming while my
siblings,my mother and I set up the towels on the sand. Soon after we
were done, my father came back with this huge horseshoe crab and freaked
everyone out.

• An old man ran into me with his mobility scooter and bruised my legs.

I was shopping for groceries at the supermarket. I was walking along the
aisles when an old man suddenly came charging out frrom the next aisle
in his mobility scooter. He rammed the scooter into me while I was
backed up against the wall. The old man drove away without apologizing
to me. My legs were bruised by the time I got home.
