Journal #1a - Freewrite
She just rolled around with them, patting them on the head with her small, soft, adorable hands. I love her so much, I was actually willing to do this for her. To adopt a litter of kittens and their mother, that is. The doctor had told me that there was no helping her, that she would die by the age of 16. My poor baby... My sweet child... I watched her as she rolled around with the kittens and their mother. I leaned to the side, setting my head on my husband's shoulder as I continued to watch my daughter play. My husband started smoothing out my hair, twirling a few strands of hair around his fingers lightly as our daughter attempted to climb into our laps. She struggled to get her feet up and off of the carpeted floor of our living room. My husband and I were sitting on the beautiful, dark blue sectional so our bodies were a significant height above the floor. I leaned forward and picked her up, setting her small body between mine and my husband's. She looked up at us with her beautiful, round face and her sparkling eyes. In her hands, she was holding one of the kittens which she pointed at to show us. I laughed a bit, watching the kitten squirm around in her hands as she bounced up and down on my husband's leg. I smiled, watching my little girl giggle lightly, a beautiful bell-like sound.
