Journal #2 - Slow Motion

Accident: Failed anesthesia during surgery
One Sentence: The anesthesia wore off during surgery and she was feeling every slice that was being made on her body.
Paragraph: She felt herself drifting off in to a sleep, thinking that she'll wake up to see her new self. That was until she felt the sharp pain in her chest. She felt the pain run across her chest and then cold air drifting into her body. Many thoughts were running through her head while she was feeling the pain of it all, wondering if this was how it felt to get breast implants. She wanted to open her mouth and scream but she just couldn't. She couldn't move at all and it all felt so weird.

Slow Motion: She felt the static-like pain as the thin piece of ice-cold metal touched her skin, pressing down into her flesh. She felt the sensation of ants crawling around the metal, gnawing on her flesh as if they were vultures on a dead coyote's body. The ice-cold blade slid down the middle of her chest, the pain following the blade a slower pace. The patient suddenly felt cold air hit the cavity of her chest as the wound started to split, the strands of her muscles and flesh slowly ripping apart to let the cold, surgery room's air seep into her body. She wanted to get this over with, the pain had become too excruciating, too much.
