Film Project

A and B are wearing a sweater and cargo pants. A is piling up cardboard boxes at a table while B is passing her the boxes. B looks at his phone for the time and drops the folded cardboard box he was holding, down on the table.

  • A looks up at B who didn’t help much and had started to sneak towards the door.

A: “Where are you going?”

  • (What are you up to?)
  • B tightens his grip on his wallet inside his jacket pocket and wonders how to answer.

B: “Out.”

  • (I hope I make it there in time…)
  • A looks disappointed at how B didn’t help much.

A: “What about the boxes?”

  • (What’s taking up so much of your time that you can’t even help me unpack?)
  • B fidgets with his wallet in his pocket.

B: “I’d like to go out for a walk.”

  • (Oh… I hope nobody bought it yet…)
  • A watches B move his hands around in his pocket and wonders where he wants to go.

A: “So would I.”

  • (Since you won’t tell me what’s going on, I’ll try to find out myself.)
  • B leans against the wall, pulling his hand out of his pocket to look down at his cell phone.

B: “You stay here.”

  • (Please don’t let the other people buy the PSP, there’s only so many. Please hold onto the PSP for me a little longer…)
  • A watches B look down at his cell phone, her eyes following his arm. She keeps her arms crossed.

A: “Why should I?”

  • (What’s making you rush so much?)
  • B fidgets, not wanting her to go with him.

B: “Stay here.”

  • (She’s going to kill me if she knew I was buying something expensive.)
  • A gets frustrated.

A: “Why?”

  • (So you are hiding something from me, huh? What is it, exactly, huh? Tell me.)
  • B takes a look at the boxes and lifts some a little to show A.

B: “The boxes.”

  • (Let me go out already… There’s no time…)
  • A furrow her brows and tone of voice gets angrier. A wants to follow B.

A: “Let’s both of us go.”

  • (I’m totally going to find out.)
  • B just stares at A.

B: “Why don’t you carry them?”

  • (She is just so annoying...)
  • A raises an eyebrow at B with a questioning look.

A: “Me?”

  • (What are you trying to keep from me, son?)

B: “Let’s go for a walk.”

  • (Oh… I give up… I’ll just wait for a better one.)
  • B walks over to his coat and puts it on. A gets up and picks up her coat and puts it on before walking over to the exit. A looks up at B while adjusting her coat.

A: “What about the boxes?”

  • (What..? I thought he wanted me to stay. What the hell?)
  • B shrugs and opens the door, then stepping out. A follows B out.
