Sudden Fiction: First Draft

She always knew that the case would follow her wherever she went and now there was actual proof of it and nobody was able to say otherwise. She knew that if she testified against him, nothing good would come about. After all, she sent the love of her life to jail. He thought that he could trust her but she had betrayed him. Now that he was out, word around was that he was looking for her and she had to get away from him. He was looking for her and she had to hide. it was too late.
Thump thump thump. Ding dong.
She froze, losing all strength and falling her the floor, shaking as she looked up. She always knew he had an extremely short and wild temper towards everything. what would he do to her? She didn't know. She was too afraid to find out. Even though she didn't want to, she got up slowly and as quietly her shivering legs could, going to the window and peeking out of it. She looked around, towards her porch to see the most built, beautiful man she had ever seen, standing on her porch. He was just standing there, waiting for her to open the door. She felt frightened by his presence, beads of sweat forming on her forehead as her nerves got to her.
She knew that he loved her but she rejected that reason altogether, narrowing her thoughts entirely on the fact that she put him in jail. Her beloved, in jail.
