Journal #5 - 6 Sentence Fiction

There were no tears or any words exchanged at all between the two of
them as they turned away from each other. The two of them knew that they
were both going to regret this for the rest of their lives, that the
love they shared would never fade away. She knew that she would never
feel that kind of love again, the love of his and he knew that he would
never be able to love someone like how he loved her again. They walked
away from each other, heads lowered and feet shuffling slowly. Both of
them thought back to their many heart-warming moments. The two of them
felt tears start to froll down their cheeks slowly, unaware of the
other's display of sadness; the rain falling down from the dark gray
sky, past the green maple leaves and onto their fces, masking their
tears and true feelings from the world.

  1. This is so beautiful. I can feel the emotion and I love the line with the maple leaves that cover their faces. What a strong image.
